Cowden-Herrick announces Students of the Month and Staff Role Model for May and Role Model of the Year.
Cowden-Herrick teachers have named Seniors, Emily Grundei and Hayden Corley Students of the Month of May.
The Students of the Month are nominated each month based on Academic Effort, Attitude, Participation/Contribution, Responsibility and Service. Junior High and/or High School students are selected each month. They each receive $25.00 donated by United Fidelity Bank.
Emily is the daughter of Rick and Shelli Finley. She has one sister, Macey Deming and a brother-in-law, Dalton Deming. She is the Student Council President and a National Honor Society member. She recently completed the HSHS St. Anthony Health Occupation course. Emily is a part of the FBC Ramsey Youth Group. Her future plans are to attend Maryville University to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and become a traveling RN.
Hayden is the son of Dale and Jennifer Corley. His future plans are to expand his business and work on the farm.
Cowden-Herrick motto for this year is upheld by these students: “Remember, a strong, positive self-image is the best possible preparation for success.” Congratulations Emily and Hayden.

K-5 Students!
The Village of Herrick had a water main break today and they are asking our K-5 students to bring a water bottle to school tomorrow, Thursday, March 30, as a precautionary measure. Thank you!

We have rocked the Kids' Heart Challenge this year. Our goal was $1500 and we went way beyond. 14 children completed Finn's Challenge, and so many more signed up online. Please be patient for the prizes, they could take up to a month to arrive. Thanks again!

We have another golden egg winner! Congratulations Lizzie! Finding the golden egg enters us into a drawing to have a school zoom with Finn. Finn is one of the American Heart Association's heart heroes who was born with a very sick heart. If he had been born 10 years ago, his outcome would have been very different. But he's well and active and wants others to learn about heart health through an activity called Finn's Mission.

It's BOOK FAIR time!
